Sukoon ("we", "us", "the app") is a meaningful-connections platform operated by Moiz Ahmad Khan. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Sukoon is designed around privacy: our matching technology is built to minimize raw data exposure and keep you in control.

1. Information We Collect

When you create and use a Sukoon account, we collect:

• Account information: email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), name, age, and gender.
• Profile information you provide: city, an "about me" bio, your answers to values questions, and your profile photo.
• Connection preferences: your current intention setting (for example "Ready to commit" or "Taking it slow") and the time it was set.
• Interest scores: the interest percentages you submit about other profiles, the profile stage at which you submitted them, and resulting match records.
• Messages: chats you exchange with your matches, stored so your conversations work across devices.
• Basic technical data: device and app information needed to operate the service reliably and securely.

Sukoon is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to minors will be deleted.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account and profile.
• To run our matching system — calculating mutual interest, intention compatibility, and match events.
• To deliver messaging between matched users.
• To keep the platform safe, prevent abuse and fake accounts, and enforce our terms.
• To improve the app, using aggregated and anonymized statistics that do not identify you.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal data. Not your profile, not your messages, not your photos, not your scores.
• We do not show your interest scores to other users before a mutual match occurs; scores are stored encrypted until then.
• We do not give other users access to your private information beyond what your profile displays.
• We do not display third-party advertising in the app at this time.

4. Sensitive Information

Sukoon is a connections platform built with the Muslim community in mind. Using the app, or information you choose to include in your profile or answers, may indicate or imply religious beliefs or other sensitive characteristics. We treat all such information with heightened care: it is used solely to operate the matching service you signed up for, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties for their own purposes.

5. Future Features and Fresh Consent

We are building optional features that can improve match quality using additional signals (for example, optional lifestyle or interest signals from sources you connect). If we introduce such features:

• They will be strictly opt-in, with a clear, granular consent screen for each data category.
• You will be able to revoke consent for any category at any time, which stops collection and removes derived signals associated with that consent.
• Where technically feasible, raw data will be processed transiently or on your device, and only derived compatibility signals will be stored.

Nothing in this section permits the sale of your personal data.

6. Service Providers

We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) to provide authentication, database, and file storage infrastructure. Firebase processes data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments. Your data may be stored and processed on servers located in the United States and the European Union.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

• Your data is retained while your account is active.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where limited retention is required for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transmission, server-side security rules restricting who can read and write each type of data, and encryption of interest scores prior to a match event. No system is perfectly secure, but minimizing stored raw data is a core design principle of Sukoon.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app and update the date at the top of this page before the changes take effect.
